The second sprint on the Pure Rush drugs education game has started and the creative team are continuing to develop the gameplay and the design. The aim of this sprint is to improve the retention of the messages that players encounter when they play the game that provide information on the effects of illicit drugs.
Some of the feedback they got from people who played the first iteration of the game was that some elements were overly complicated so the number and type of upgrades have been rationalised and more clearly laid out. Visual design elements have continued to be added enhancing the experience for players and making sure progress through the game is more clearly signposted.
The final aim of the sprint is to make sure that player attention does not drop off as they progress to the later levels of the game. One more day to go on this sprint and as time goes on the game gets more addictive - it’s all in the gameplay folks, not the drugs!
