We’re at the end of day two of the gloriously exciting, dangerously breathtaking three day Pure Rush sprint!
I for one, can barely contain myself. Witnessing the progress of this new and seriously funky educational game has been so much fun and it’s coming together very well.
Well done to the developers Alex and Marcus, on creating the five levels today. They’ve also established an upgrade system at the end of each level allowing the player to trade friendship points for extra bonus items, like the ability to double jump.
Sir Runalot (as named by Marianne) now has a jumping state so his legs are no longer spinning in mid air mid jump. You’ll also notice his uber-cool lime green sunglasses – Sir Runalot is serious about both fashion and sun protection.
One of the challenges for Marianne was finding a symbol that represents friendship (or points). At the moment the rings are in place of what was once a bunch of yellow boxes representing friendship points. Another challenge was ensuring the obstacles didn’t look too bright and appealing – I think she’s done well with these scary-looking syringe graphics. Yikes!
Tomorrow the sprint team will be working on “making the game more visually appealing and engaging”, by adding some more exciting graphics and a larger variety of upgrades between levels. Go you good things!
The pressure is on with only one day to go. Will they do it? Stay tuned to find out.
